The Art of Taking Risk

No risk no reward. It's important to self motivate and invest in what you are passionate about. Often times, I feel discouraged and seek reassurance from others. I'm not going to lie, this is a mental struggle for me however, it is such an unfair way of thinking! Seeking assurance from people is unfair to them as well as yourself. Why can't you just believe in yourself enough to do what you feel in your heart with confidence? Let go and let God right? I am guilty of getting caught up in social media, hoping and wishing I could have enormous sales overnight from my post. Due to the fact social media is over saturated and more so a popularity contest, entrepreneurs have to really put themselves out there and take risk. The face to face approach is most effective in the long run because this gives you a chance to meet your potential customer. If I am hesitant to purchase jewelry online then I'm pretty certain most people are too. Therefore, I rented a space at The Market NYC in Brooklyn so that I can no longer hide behind the internet with my product. As a first time vendor I was able to make back what the booth cost but not much more than that. Not to be discouraged I know this is something you have to constantly do in order to see what people are looking for, gain feedback and have a presence. You have to spend money to make money. Work at your own pace and never compare your business to another. Here are a few photos from my pop-up shop.
